or it's like TomFulp leaving a great review and getting the "insanely well received" text on the bottom when let's say I say the same great review and get "useless" for not being as important. Like if I submit a cheap flash that makes you chuckle (BTW, Brawl Taunts is boring and horribly made, OPINION) compared to Watterlollies.
Also, if you submit a 5 paragraph essay for a flash movie, but people don't agree with you, your reviw is received badly and counted as "useless".

you know, there should be some kind of comments thing on submissions, where you post as much as you want or something, and then people would use the review section for an ACTUAL review... that might help... a bit.
Im VERY extreme...you either get a 0 or a 5...a 0 or a 10...very rarely do i give out 2-9/4

On NG, a score is completely meaningless because the highest scoring things are absolute shite half the time.

I submitted a game on my other account and some people gave me 10s just for it being my first game. I like 10's and stuff, but I want people to be honest with my flashes and give them good scores they deserve and give constructive criticism, not like:
"GOOD" 10
"FUNNY" 10
I want something like:
"Good, needs more music though" 7
"Awesome, the lighting was great, keep it up" 10
exactly! even if giving a 10 is a bit extreme, its definitely ok if the reviewer gives a good review :)

I agree with you, far too many times have I seen a mediocre flash get reviews like Awesome flash :10 or that That was shit: 0 although I admit I am guilty of throwing out an undeserved 10 and maybe even 0's although I always give a decent reason for a 0, since they deserve at least that much.
The only practical thing I think might possibly decrease the five or zero voting is not showing the score until you vote. I five or zero, but review with care. A comment system apart from a review system would be interesting.

I agree with you, but I also think that people are intitled to their opinion and should be allowed to vote how they please.

personally, im trying to add old videos that are actually good to my site, im also kind of upset what gets put on the front page now, some stuff can stay there for like 3 weeks even though it might not be that good, i mean deep sexy space is good, but after a week and a half, we've all seen it and want something new. i like the old videos on newgrounds better, now just too many ppl who spam good ratings or bad ratings, and occasionally ull get someone who actually tells the maker how to improve, and all the ppl who liked the game/video will rate the review bad because it doesent give a 10 -.-

Movies are getting over 4s that would have gotten around 3.5 if they had been submitted a few years ago.
