so Beirut is this band that plays weird folkloreish music with nice beats and weird instruments, a friend introduced me to them and now i cant stop listening to their music, at the start i was like meh they're not that great, then the melodies and the combinations of the intruments started to get stucked in my mind, they make me feel a bit relaxed/happy and inspired. here are some songs of them that i like:

Interesting things, each musician is very flexible with ranges and use. Something unique, a steady style. Just goes to show how deep you lurk within the world and it's music and etc. you can most positively find something unique and different in every corner.

I can't believe I used to like Beirut. But i noticed that not only do all songs sound the same, but there's a strange lack of creativity going into the song. The songs are always in 3/4, in a waltz type feel. He can't sing either, so he hides that by throwing heavy vibrato over everything. To each his own, I guess. At least you're not listening to absolute shit.

As much as I don't like Beirut, I do love the song Mount Wroclai, haha.

well all the songs use the same intruments and belong to the same genre, whenever i listen to a new song of them im aware it will sound a bit like the others i have heard, that doesnt mean its not creative >:C you're right about condon not being a good singer, i didnt like his voice at first but i got used to it, its nice :3
